The new NFL season is around the corner. All the teams are gearing up for the kickoff. Meanwhile, Dallas Cowboys are not different either. The Mike McCarthy-coached side had an excellent pre-season. However, one of the major worries is regarding the injury status of their WR Michael Gallup, admits team owner Jerry Jones.

The 26-year-old is viewed as the next big thing for the Cowboys. But he suffered an unfortunate ACL tear. The receiver missed most of the pre-season clashes. It came as a relief for the fans when JJ confidently said the talented player is eyeing a comeback. “Michael Gallup can do anything you ask of him right now. Anything. We are just using common sense in being cautious with him,” says the team owner.
Michael Gallup is a crucial link for the Cowboys
America’s Team outclassed Chargers and Seahawks in the run-up to the main season. But they lost to Broncos 17-7 in their last clash. One of the key talks that emerged after the match was their inability to score crucial points in crunch situations.
Meanwhile, this is an area where the impact of Gallup can create a difference, says the head coach. Incidentally, the WR had a decent season in 2020 before an injury setback in 2021. He finished with six receptions for 138 receiving yards and a touchdown against Seattle Seahawks.
Later on, he recorded six catches for 121 yards and two touchdowns against Philadelphia Eagles. As a result, the 26-year-old finished with 59 receptions for 843 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns.

Jerry Jones is confident about a successful season
Meanwhile, the 79-year-old businessman, Jerry Jones, believes his team has a great chance to lift the trophy this year. “You have to have optimism. You have to look for the best outcome,” says Jones. Talking about offensive tackle, Jason Peters, the Cowboys owner says his playtime is contingent on how their Guard, Tyler Smith, is playing at the left tackle. Meanwhile, Peters’ inclusion also would depend on how Tyron Smith comes back from injury, confirms the team owner.
However, what would matter to the team is how they approach the first game against the Bucs. Meanwhile, a confident beginning is a right step towards progress. As an exciting season is on the cards, the Cowboys will leave no stones unturned, to get ready for the big fight versus NFL icon Tom Brady’s side.
