The quarterbacks and wide receivers have showcased some incomparable running capabilities. But Jordan Davis became an absolute standout by sprinting the 40-yard like an F-150 truck and left people jaw-dropped.

Georgia prospect and Defensive Tackle Jordan Davis; 6-foot-6, 341 pounds, kicked off the 3rd day of the NFL Scouting Combine and showcased impeccable running strength when he ran a 4.78-second 40-yard dash. He caused a rumble at the Combine because of his stunning show of speed for a player of his stature. Officials unofficially clocked Davis’ first run at 4.82, but the official time was even better.

The athlete’official time is the fastest by player weighing well over 340 pounds at the Combine. Davis beat Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Baker Mayfield in the 40-yard dash. Davis is almost the same height as Buccaneers TE Rob Gronkowski and the same size as Bears offensive lineman Jason Peters.

According to Next Gen Stats, Jordan Davis’ time is the fastest for a combine athlete weighing 310 pounds or more in the NFL Network era since 2003.

The athlete’s 10-foot-3 wide leap after the 40-yard dash was the longest by a player weighing over 300 pounds. His 10-yard split was also faster than J. J. Watt’s (1.71) at the 2011 combine when he was 290 pounds.

The athlete’s 40-yard dash went viral over Twitter with people commending his skills and athleticism. The athlete caught the attention of NFL Veteran Ephraim Salaam, Cowboys’ Defensive Rookie of the Year Micah Parsons, and WWE Wrestler turned Hollywood Star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

From a defensive perspective, lineman Jordan Davis is incredibly fast and can toss objects in his path efficiently. During his college career, Davis holds 37 solo tackles, 53 assist tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, making the total count to 90. The athlete also includes 7 sacks in his 4-year run as well. The Bulls DL received the 2021 Outland Trophy, which is given to the finest interior linemen in college football, as well as the Chuck Bednarik Award, which is given to the top defensive player.
