The ever-deteriorating news of Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s relationship took another turn for the worse recently. Reportedly, Brady and Bündchen have hired divorce lawyers and have started drawing up plans for splitting up their multimillion-dollar empire.

This recent Brady-Bündchen rift started earlier this year. When TB12 decided to end his 40-day retirement and come back to play for the Buccaneers. This reportedly upset Bündchen, and she started leaving bits and pieces of signs all over the place. Signs that she was not at all happy about this decision to keep playing.

Despite the sinking feeling, one gets from this, analyst Colin Cowherd is set on skipping to the good parts of this relationship. On his podcast, he talks about how sacrifices are necessary for celebrity couples. He took a couple of examples to justify his stance, which does make a lot of sense when one looks at it this way.

“Generally speaking, in Celebrity marriages, you all know this for them to work somebody sacrifices. You know Paul Newman, and Joanna Woodward lasted forever. She sacrificed her career. Tom Hanks, Rita Hanks, she’s probably sacrificed some of her career.”

“The fact that Giselle was a top two to three supermodel, Brady a top two or three quarterback when they met, and it lasted 13 years before they sought divorce attorneys is kind of surprising because there weren’t issues earlier…..you know Giselle’s done a lot of the sacrificing.”

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen: Problems in dreamland?

Contrary to Cowherd’s claims, however, this is not the first time the couple has faced rough patches in their relationship. Although none of them look as dire as this, they certainly needed care while handling. And that’s what they did.

The first curveball came in the form of Brady’s ex-girlfriend. Bridget Moynahan’s pregnancy came just two months after Brady and Bündchen started dating. “Two months into our relationship, Tom told me that his ex-girlfriend was pregnant. The very next day, the news was everywhere, and I felt my world had been turned upside down,” Bündchen writes in her book.

But it seems she took a liking to Jack, Brady’s firstborn son. “[He made] my heart expand in ways I didn’t know was possible,” also writes that her “bonus child” inspired her to have her own children with Brady sooner so that they could be closer in age to Jack.

During the Deflategate fiasco in 2015, things got very tense between her and Brady, and Bündchen threatened to file for divorce. But they still manage to sit down and talk things out. Not long after, they treat the world to an overwhelming public display of affection on red carpets and other catchy places.

Even though the couple has made it work in the past, it seems this might just be the breaking point. With both arming themselves with lawyers, it is not odd to wonder how this will affect Brady’s and the Buccaneers‘ performance. Especially his dreams of clinching an 8th Super Bowl title.
