Rob Gronkowski appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s ‘The Tonight Show’ to talk about everything football and beyond. And he talked about both the Eagles‘ and the Kansas City Chiefs‘ performances in the respective conference championship games.
“Oh man. Well first off, the Eagles got a get out of jail card for free yesterday. Everything went their way. I was at the game. I mean I’m not saying they didn’t deserve it; they definitely dominated the number one defense in the league. And they dominated the Giants the week before. I am sorry I know we’re in New York. And Kansas City, they did enough. They’re always scrambling, they always get the job done. They always do. You know Patrick Mahomes always rolling around the pocket, Travis is always open. They just get it done, they always do,” Gronkowski told Fallon.
The four-time Super Bowl champion then made a bold prediction about the upcoming Super Bowl LVII clash between Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts. And he gave his reason for picking one team over the other.
“I’d say, Philadelphia has been playing more like a team throughout the whole season. I’m gonna go with the Eagles,” Gronkowski said of the Super Bowl winner.
Both teams had contrasting days on the field on Sunday. But in the end, both are where they want to be.
