Even with Patrick Mahomes on their side, the Kansas City Chiefs were not Super Bowl favorites going into the 2022 season. However, the Chiefs beat all odds to claim the Vince Lombardi trophy for the second time in the last four years. And Brittany Mahomes wants an apology for the underdog treatment.
Patrick’s wife and former professional soccer star, Brittany, is a fierce supporter of her husband and a key member of the Chiefs Kingdom. And she racked up all the complaints against her beloved team. However, fans still don’t want to bow down to the Chiefs’ supremacy and Brittany got ridiculed for her tweet.

Andy Reid’s men were already at a disadvantage from the start of the season after Tyreek Hill joined the Miami Dolphins. But Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce made with what they had. And with a 14-3 regular season record putting them at the No 1 AFC seed, things didn’t look that bad.
However, the Chiefs became heavy underdogs after Patrick’s high ankle sprain against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the divisional-round playoff game this year. Fans even had ‘Burrowhead’ chants going ahead of the AFC Championship game at Kansas City. However, Mahomes and Co pushed through the pain. And Brittany wasn’t about to just let it all go.
Apologizing is so hard though 😭

“I think a lot of people need to apologize for what they said about this team at the beginning of this season,” Brittany tweeted on February 14. One day after her KC Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII.
Fans were in no mood for Brittany’s trash-talking
The rival fanfare predictably swarmed in with hate. However, they couldn’t deny Mahomes’ brilliance. So they went against Brittany’s cheerleading. Also, some fans thought that it was the Eagles’ collapse that helped the Chiefs win. LB Nick Bolton’s fumble recovery touchdown from a Jalen Hurts mishap turned out to be the point of difference in the championship game.
If it wasn’t for Hurts fumbling the ball, the Eagles would be champions. Maybe blame Hurts

No apologies needed. Be a grateful winner, not a sore one. Get off your phone and enjoy your family.

However, Brittany has a strong hold on handling online hate. She even has her own anti-bullying t-shirt campaign. ‘Team Brittany’ t-shirts first came in when online bullying massively increased against Patrick’s younger brother Jackson Mahomes. Jackson is often the sideline headline. But fans want nothing to do with his TikTok videos from the stadium.
