Kittle is also a famous advocate of meditation and yoga. The conversation very quickly moves to pre-game routines. And Marshall actually has it on his agenda to know what the tight end does before games to ready himself.

George Kittle And His Kobe Inspired Pre-Game Routine

Kittle talks about his strict pre-game routine that he doesn’t like to meddle with. The tight end said, “I’m a little superstitious.. No, I’m very superstitious, it’s terrible. But like, I like to keep the same routine so I do a kind of a yoga menu. Egoscue is what it’s called. I get my feet ankles worked on on my training staff. I eat one sweet patato fry the night before I go to bed. Just one. The nice longest one. It tastes the best. I don’t know why I started doing it. We went on like an eight game winning streak. So I still do it. I guess I’m superstitious.

Go to my room. And actually, I find my wife say goodnight to her talk to her for a little bit and I go to my room and I do an Epsom salt bath for 24 minutes for Kobe, because he’s my favorite basketball player growing up so I was 24 minutes and during that time I either listen to an audible book or read a book. You take out time for yourself.”

The tight end added, “My first two years I played Pokemon on a Gameboy Color every single night. Just take time out for yourself because like in the game of football, it’s there’s you’re just in it like when you’re in the season like you’re just once you’re in it. And so you need to take time out for yourself.”

Kittle revealed that Kobe was his favorite player growing up and as an ode to him the routine time for the bath is set at 25 minutes. An ode to the mamba. Kittle goes onto explain how athletes at his level get way too less time for themselves. Especially when the season is ongoing. So it is incumbent upon the athletes that they take out time where there’s no one around. And then contemplate. It helps in navigating through pressure situations.
