George Kittle was blasting it up at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville. He was there supporting his friend and hockey player Filip Forsberg. But that did not prevent the broadcasters from asking him about the 49ers’ future. Especially if the rumor might be really exciting.

Rumors had started going around last week that Brady might be making his way to the 49ers. This could add another weird chapter in the story of Brady and Garoppolo. It would be so astounding that Jimmy G, who was once the heir apparent to Brady would now potentially move out again because of him.
George Kittle responds in a cheeky manner
Would Tom be moving to the 49ers? The commentators wanted to know from Kittle. His response was as cliche as they come but effective to defuse the situation. He acted as if he was breaking up and the audio was unclear. Classic trick.
He's here this time, for sure ✅

But it worked as the commentators understood Kittle’s hint and did not push him further. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Is there any fire to the Brady talks?
Now a potential trade for Tom Brady would be franchise-changing for the 49ers. It is difficult to see Jimmy G taking them over the hump in the postseason. And the squad is pretty much stacked elsewhere. If the team believes that Jimmy G is not the guy, a Brady trade would be just the magic needed.
Forgot About Trey?
There is also the situation at the backup QB position. There are two scenarios currently. Are the 49ers looking at Trey Lance as the future QB for them? Or are they convinced that his ceiling is not as high as they thought?

If it is the former, and they believe in Trey, they should go for it, But if there is any doubt and they plan to move him at a later point, it would be safer for them to keep him off the field. Putting him at the centerfield can expose his weaknesses if any. Consequently, it will drive down the trade value.

But if they believe in Trey and want to give him another year as a backup, they can look into getting the 7-time Super Bowl winner to San Fransisco. It would be good for their short-term plans and even help Trey see Brady prepare and perform up close. The impact that can have on a young QB is immeasurable but obviously does not guarantee success.
