“If you have a room, that’s splintered or rooting against each other, that’s no fun for anybody, and it really pulls the team apart,” on May 17, QB Gardner Minshew at media availability. “So I think more than anything, you compete, and you compete to make each other better. You push each other, but at the end of the day whoever’s out there, no matter who it is, we’re all wanting to win and we’re all wanting to help them win.”

Minshew thinks competition should be about making each other better and pushing each other to succeed. Minshew also sees himself as an old hand in the team locker room, “That’s part of my role, is trying to get them comfortable. You want to help the room as much as you can, everybody that’s in it,” and aims to use his experience to help Richardson and another young quarterback, Sam Ehlinger, feel comfortable and prepared.

27 years old, Gardner Minshew recently joined the Indianapolis Colts team in March 2023. Before that, he played for the Philadelphia Eagles for two seasons. In 2019, he was chosen by the Jacksonville Jaguars in a draft. While Anthony Richardson was picked as the fourth overall choice in the 2023 draft. He became a part of the Colts team in April 2023.
