Tom Brady is having a slippery slope of a season. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback has not given the NFL world much of an inclination of the performer he’s known to be. With 23 seasons in the league, the slump in Brady’s performance has forced fans to once again question if Brady’s time is finally up.

As Tampa Bay took on the Saints, most would have expected Brady and the Bucs to have an easy victory. The divisional rivals are on opposite ends of the NFC South. Despite the Bucs’ underwhelming season, a poorly performing division has ensured that they are crowned with the number one spot. But, even though the Saints sit at the bottom, they are not giving in without a fight. At halftime, the New Orleans Saints took a 10-3 lead over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Saints’ defense kept Brady in tow while also scoring a touchdown thanks to Taysom Hill. But the play that had the NFL world gasping was Demario Davis’ interception. Late in the second quarter, linebacker Demario Davis intercepted Tom Brady and set up a field goal.

The NFL world could not be more disappointed in Tom Brady even if they tried

Fox Sports’ Greg Auman, who covers the NFC South live-tweeted the interception. He wrote, “Demario Davis intercepts Tom Brady – dropped in coverage and made the play. Just Brady’s third pick this season.” Fans online took to Twitter to express what they felt about the interception.

While Bucs fans are sick of the inconsistency their team is showing this season, Saints fans were over the moon. This is the second time the Bucs are facing the Saints this season. Their previous bout ended more positively for the Bucs with a 20-10 win. But this is not the first time fans are failing to see improvement from the Bucs, especially against a team ranked lower than they are. This season saw them take shocking defeats against the Carolina Panthers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. But, the Bucs successfully extended their record against the Saints this season to 2-0 after a narrow 17-16 win. Tom Brady led a comeback victory over the Saints, silencing the haters, for now.
