After possibly having the worst season of his playing career, Russell Wilson has started his offseason work early, going into his second year as a Denver Broncos quarterback. However, Danger Russ isn’t the only one training this off-season. Wilson is also training the next quarterback/shortstop from the household, Future. What Ciara’s first son, Future Zahir, did during baseball practice this week left everyone shocked and cheering!

More than a stepfather, Russell Wilson is the quintessential coach to 8-year-old Future. Be it football or baseball. Till now, the world had only seen some stellar pigskin handling from Zahir. But Russell Wilson’s latest reel on his Instagram account shows a bigger milestone.

Future hits it out of the park

Russell Wilson and his R&B sensation wife, Ciara, have two children of their own, Sienna and Win Harrison. However, while Win and Sienna haven’t reached the age to flaunt their sporting talents, the third kid in the Wilson household is earning quite a name for himself. Ciara’s first son, from her previous relationship with the rapper, Future, is surely developing a knack for being on the field more than the stage like his father. Zahir wants to be a quarterback, as is evident in all his practice videos with his stepfather, former Seattle Seahawks passer, Russell Wilson.

Wilson and Future dabbled with a few practice pitches. However, the Super Bowl champion NFL quarterback was not expecting Future to handle his pitch like a professional. The bat made the perfect clink as the pitch came in and Future had just hit Russell Wilson for a home run.

Future was so excited after slamming it out of the park that he forgot what he was supposed to do next, jumping in excitement. Mother Ciara had to remind him to “run the base” as friends, family members, and fans chanted “Future, Future, Future..!”

“His first home run way over the fence. 2 hours post-game. Future taking ground balls, pop flies, and extra swings. Right before sun-down. Anything worth having we all have to work for! Proud dad moment,” Wilson captioned the home run post. However, the home run reel wasn’t the only one where Russell and Future were seen laying the foundation for a future great.

Russell is making Future work hard when it comes to maneuvering the pocket. In a reel from earlier this month, Future caught one-handed passes from Wilson before working on his pocket presence and footwork. “Future soon to be NFL 1st rounder,” Wilson wrote. Zahir also helps out in endorsing his father’s sportswear company, 3Brand.
