The former Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the most stylish athletes in the NFL fraternity. Often one can see him donning crazy outfits and wearing branded jewelry, and particularly his craze for watches has been evident for the past few years.
The dapper recently shared an Instagram story of a picture of him wearing some expensive bracelets minted with the finest quality stones. However, the cheapest amongst them was a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust series. It is estimated to cost around $15,000 or more.

After getting injured in the Super Bowl match last season, the Super Bowl champion is recovering from the injury. As a result, he is currently a free agent and his future in the NFL for the upcoming season seems uncertain.
The ACL injury he incurred against the Bengals nearly dwarfed his possibility of getting a contract before the NFL draft. Moreover, he is not expected to get back to work before November, at the earliest. So teams are skeptical about signing OBJ and risk half of the season without him.

Recently, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport made predictions on The Pat McAfee Show. “I don’t think it is a slam dunk that he goes back to the Rams, but they certainly seem like the leader in the clubhouse,” Rapoport said.
“He liked it there. I know he liked L.A. I know that they know more about his medical than any other team… Other teams are interested, but that to me seems like the most likely scenario.” Rapoport added to his statements. However, all these things don’t seem to have faded his extravagance and love for watches.
When Odell Beckham Jr. wore his exotic watches on the field
With a net worth of $25 million, OBJ can easily afford to buy such luxurious items. Back in 2019, when the wide receiver was playing for the Cleveland Browns, he wore an expensive Richard Mille RM 11-03 watch in a match against the Tennessee Titans. It was estimated to cost around $189,500, which he claimed to have been wearing in the practice sessions as well.

According to the league’s official policy, wearing “hard objects” on the field is not allowed. OBJ’s this action caught the attention of league management. However, the 29-year-old vowed to continue using it. “I’ll still be wearing it,” Beckham said per ESPN. “The same way I wear it every day I go to practice, when I go here, I go there, been wearing it. Take a shower with it on. It’s just on me.” he added.

Athletes wearing watches in their field is not a new concept. Tennis players and golfers often wear watches while playing. It will be interesting to see if OBJ continues to wear his exotic collections in the upcoming seasons.
