Ever since the NFL was established back in the year 1920, then known as the American Professional Football Association A.K.A APFA. Expansion is nothing new to the league. The NFL originally started with only 14 teams and grew to the glorious heights we know and love today. Over the years, many teams have joined and left the NFL.
There are only two original teams from the 20s still kicking the football and getting touchdowns. Chicago Cardinals, now known as the Arizona Cardinals, and Decatur Staleys, now known as the Chicago Bears.
US Olympian believes NFL should expand more

Fred Kerley is a track and field sprinter. He competed in the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 and won a silver medal in men’s 100 meters. The 25-year-old sprinter has many world championships under his belt as well. In 2019, he won a gold medal at the 400-meter relay in Doha. Kerley also won bronze in the 400-meter dash at the same event.
Being an athlete himself, it’s no surprise that Fred Kerley is a fan of sports. On Twitter, he is actively engaging in the news and events of sports. The track star is a huge following of football in particular. You can see him talk about it all the time.

The official PFF Twitter account tweeted, ‘Which cities deserve an NFL expansion team?’ with a picture of cities like London, Toronto, Honolulu, Salt Lake City, Mexico City, St. Louis, San Antonio, and others. Seeing this tweet Kerley tweeted “All.” Indicating that all of those cities should get an NFL expansion team.
If cities like London, Toronto, and Mexico got a team, it would mean that for the first time in the 100 year history of the NFL, there will be an international team playing in the league. Should Honolulu get an expansion team, it will be a Hawaiian representative team in the NFL.

If San Antonio got a team, it would rival ‘America’s Team’, the Dallas Cowboys. Expansions have always been very exciting in the NFL. To get a new team and representation of a State on a national level is something that fans eagerly follow. Which city do you want to see playing in the National Football League in the future?
