The outside linebacker who helped the Chiefs win two Super Bowls in four years, is now joining Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos. The LB landed a one-year contract worth $5.5 million, plus has an opportunity to make $2 million more in bonuses on Tuesday. But he won’t be on the field with his new teammates until late July when the training camp begins.
The newly joined member had to miss the minicamp on Wednesday and Thursday for his physical and contract signing. The Broncos are excited to have him on their team and hope this bolster can bring some of his championship experience to Broncos’ defense.

Due to the knee injury of Baron Browning, who was expected to be the starting outside linebacker, the Broncos decided to sign Frank Clark a.k.a “The Shark”. Baron had to have surgery to fix a partially torn meniscus in his knee. The Broncos took this into account when they signed Clark, as they needed another linebacker to replace Baron. Despite the change, Russell Wilson is looking confident and ready for the upcoming season.
The QB posted a series of pictures of Frank and wrote: “Frank Clark! 🐬 Sack 👑 Congrats bro” making it clear that Russell and Broncos hope to bounce back and make some noise this season.
However, the road ahead is set to be a long waiting game for 24-year-old Baron Browning, who sustained an injury during the conditioning period preceding the regular season.

Browning’s likely to miss key position with Broncos
Baron Browning’s recovery is taking longer, and according to reports, he won’t be ready to play at the beginning of the season. Since joining the NFL in 2021 as a third-round pick, Browning has faced several health issues. Baron missed three games during his rookie year and another three last season due to a hip problem and back spasms.

All in all, due to Browning’s inability to play, Clark will step in as the starting played alongside Randy Gregory, eventually transitioning into the Broncos’ dedicated pass rusher.
