The 2021 NFL season promises to be an enticing affair. There are a host of new rookie quarterbacks who are set to make their debut this season including the likes of Trevor Lawrence (Jacksonville Jaguars) and Zach Wilson (New York Jets). Both these youngsters made a mark during the 2020 NCAA college football season and could write their names in NFL folklore in their rookie season.

Both these quarterbacks play for teams who are yet to win the MVP title award. But they are not the only two. Apart from Jaguars and the Jets, the likes of Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Arizona Cardinals, New Orleans Saints, and Philadelphia Eagles, are yet to have a player from their squad win an NFL MVP trophy. All these teams have had their moments over the last two decades.

Despite his dominance in the last decade, it’s astonishing that recently retired Drew Brees did not win an MVP trophy during his time in the NFL. But this number can reduce in the coming months.

Reigning Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady can break the curse for the Bucs in 2021. After some eye-catching displays last season, Brady has shown that he has a lot of fuel left in his tank.

With sights set on Super Bowl ring #8, expect the veteran to put forth a performance for the ages this year. Other notable quarterbacks who might challenge Brady for MVP honours are Lawrence, Wilson, Deshaun Watson, Jameis Winston, Jalen Hurts and Kyler Murray.
