CEO of Fox Corp. Lachlan Murdoch spoke about Tom Brady and his role as the lead NFL analyst with Fox post his retirement. This is the first time that Brady’s role in Fox has been defined publicly.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB signed a 10 year deal with Fox at $375 to call games after his retirement.
What did Murdoch say about Brady’s role?
According to Lachlan, Fox won’t just be looking at Brady solely as an analyst. According to him, “The important thing with Tom, what got me really engaged and excited about the opportunity, is that in addition to being a senior analyst on Sundays, he will be our partner in sports. An ambassador for Fox.”
Lachlan also mentioned that Brady would be a “tremendous analyst and a partner of ours.” Brady has also given strong hints about him being part of the Fox NFL analysis team from Super Bowl 57.

Lachlan’s comments show that, while Fox values Brady’s knowledge of the game, they are also very aware of Brady’s brand value and how effective it could be for them. The deal, therefore, seems to be a win-win for both the parties involved.

Tom Brady holds the record as a seven-time Super Bowl winner. He led the Patriots to 17 division titles, nine Super Bowl appearances, and six Super Bowl titles.
After joining the Buccaneers in 2020, Brady led them to win Super Bowl LV. This led to him achieving the record of 10 Super Bowl appearances and seven victories. Among the many records that Brady has to his name, a few include being the oldest NFL MVP (aged 40) and the oldest quarterback selected to the Pro Bowl (aged 44).
