If there is one athlete in the NFL who’s not only known in the US but also in the entire world, it’s Tom Brady. The football messiah, master of touchdowns, or the epitome of success, he’s definitely all of those things. However, it didn’t happen overnight. Being born into a religious family with three elder sisters might not sound all that good from the outside, but it’s exactly what the football GOAT needed.

Before he became a football quarterback, Brady was a nobody. He wasn’t born into football, but he definitely chose it over other solid options. And it all started in San Mateo, California.

An article by TheFamousPeople states that TB12 initially gained interest in the sport while playing with his sisters every Sunday. It was exactly when his competitive nature intensified. Moreover, in his teen years, young Brady regularly attended 49ers games and was a hardcore fan of the star quarterback, Joe Montana.

Subsequently, as he entered his college years, he was already participating in a range of sports, including basketball and baseball. Brady was also drafted to the MLB in the 90s for his exceptional potential in the sport, however, he chose to pursue football. And as we all know, it didn’t go in vain. After years and years of struggles, TB12 finally earned his place among the greats, and it certainly wasn’t easy.

Although Brady’s success story is no secret, his struggling days take everyone by surprise. With one of the most horrible scout reports in history, Brady was picked by the Patriots in the 6th round for the 199th pick. Furthermore, he was given a chance to play only one game in the 2000 season. These weren’t the only emotional toll he had to bear, as his pay disparity was on another level. His three-year rookie deal consisted of only $866500. And by the time his contract had ended, he had already led the team to a Super Bowl victory.

Brady managed to pull through with the immense support from his family

From his early days, Brady remained steadfast in his journey, despite all the hardships. And his family’s support played a crucial role in keeping him on that path. His Irish-descent father, Tom Brady Sr. was certainly one of the pillars of his strength. Then comes the NFL star’s mother, Galynn Patricia, who not only raised four beautiful children but also supported them every step of the way. Brady also holds his eldest sister, Julie, very close to his heart, for her unwavering love and admiration.
