Are there any other dual-threat quarterbacks as effective as Russell Wilson? There isn’t a record he didn’t break or a trophy he didn’t chase. However, the previous season was disastrous, when compared to others, and it was clear that the Super Bowl champ could not adapt to the new environment after being transferred to the Broncos. The team’s management, however, brought reassurances this season, for not only the athletes but also the fans, with a new head coach and a newly structured roster, centering around the star QB. And, it seems Wilson is all ready for his next journey.
The team now has hope with a killer combo, even approved by the veteran Peyton Manning. In addition, the star QB’s unbeatable persistence only steers the team in the right direction.

Wilson has definitely been one of the most consistent athletes in the league with the exception of last season. Sean Payton’s arrival to the team as a head coach has been the one beam of light the team needed in its darkest time. The highly experienced coach has a great history with the league, with one Super Bowl and seven division titles. Although there were uncertainties upon his arrival, Russell’s recent post might be a grand reassurance for the HC.
In his recent Instagram story, the star QB shared a reel posted by an esteemed pastor, by the name of Shawn Johnson. The motivational speech in the brief video stands as a great lesson for the ones who fail. The video starts with, “What if you didn’t quit?” and then adds, “What if the opposition you’ve been facing isn’t a reason to quit?” The pastor then added, “But it’s a reminder to stand up and fight,” emphasizing one’s determination in a field even after constant failures. He then added how one’s pain is taken away by ‘Jesus’ and transformed into a ‘Platform’ just to throw it away and fill it with ‘purpose’.
This motivational video from the pastor certainly took the NFL star’s attention, as he posted it, with his own caption that read, “Purpose in the Fight,” further signifying his determination in the future. His recent post might be shocking for some, but it’s no secret that the 9x Pro Bowl is a devoted Christian.

This isn’t the only instance he has become vocal about his belief. Russell even revealed that he found the religion at the age of 14 when Jesus came to see him in his dream, to inform him about his dad passing away. Right after the incident, he went to the church the next Sunday and has been a devotee since.
Moreover, he made constant headlines before his marriage with Ciara, as the star QB chose the way of celibacy before tying the knot. He also prays to god, both in his victory and his loss, on and off the field. It is also rumored that he wears the no 3 on his jersey as a tribute to the holy trinity.
The Super Bowl champ is full of surprises, and will certainly do exactly the same in the upcoming season. With a new HC on the team and an improved roster, it’s looking very good for the Broncos.
