Last month, Deshaun Watson, accompanied by Third District Community Engagement Officers, paid a visit to the Fatima Family Center in Cleveland. During his visit, the NFL star didn’t just make an appearance; he actively engaged with the seniors and children present as he took on a new avatar by selling Ice Cream. He took to his Instagram as he shared images from the event.
In his post, Watson stood inside an ice cream truck while he was herded by his young fans who were buying ice creams from the truck. Watson captioned the post: “4ThePEOPLE! 💯🤞🏾 4EVER!”, as he continues to give back to society. But this isn’t his first time providing help to people in need. Watson has always been a man of the people
Just last year, the Browns acquired Watson in a blockbuster trade, marking the end of his tumultuous period with the Texans. While there was backlash surrounding the trade, fans have been waiting to see the true extent of the supercharged Browns offense with Watson at the helm. But even during his days with the Texans, Watson made several donations to charity to help uplift communities in need.
Watson has always had a bond with kids, and during a charity spree back in 2020, the QB raised over $100k within a week. He even went on to donate $175k in tech devices prior to the start of the 2020-21 NFL season. He will look to bring the same energy with him to Cleveland, as he will finally get back to full health at the beginning of the upcoming season.
