After signing a $30 million contract as the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, he has already begun his mission to take the university team to great heights. Despite his team not playing even a single NCAA game yet, his hype as the new Buffaloes HC is already building up pace. The Sanders effect could be seen in the team when the Buffaloes played a spring game recently. However, it seems there is a downside to the DS effect.
Despite Sanders coming to achieve great things with the University of Colorado, the football team witnessed a mass exodus on the transfer portal recently.

The Colorado football program is taking major steps to further improve its position and base. But the ongoing efforts saw a massive loss recently, as a recent tweet by ‘On3’ reported around 13 players from the team entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Furthermore, the mass exodus of players also saw some of its key offensive weapons enter the transfer portal as well. Deion Sanders already had plans to upgrade the talent pool of the roster after the team’s dismal 1-11 performance last year. Even junior WR Montana Lemoninous- Craig entered the transfer portal, after leading the team in receiving yards. Even RB Deion Smith was a part of the portal, who was Colorado’s leading rusher with 393 yards with 83 carries.

Ever since the former Atlanta Falcons CB signed his contract, the effect of his presence in the University can already be seen, including admissions into the University.

Sanders’ signing as the Colorado Buffaloes HC already has seen an effect that has shocked the college football world. The season tickets have already sold out. Apart from this, even their official Instagram page saw a meteoric rise with over 800k followers. With Sanders in the picture, merchandise sales have already gone up by a whopping 700 percent. This has also led to many younger talents signing up for the football program of the university, as it also meant the opportunity to have him as a coach.
