The Netflix docuseries Quarterback gives a new perspective to fans. The show, produced by Peyton Manning’s Omaha Production, gives a behind-the-scenes look at what goes down off the football field. Season 1 of the docuseries placed its focus on QBs Patrick Mahomes, Marcus Mariota, and Kirk Cousins. And the Chiefs QB had the spotlight to himself during the introductory episodes. But it was not just Mahomes who was in the spotlight. Even his younger, controversially ridden brother, Jackson Mahomes, and his wife Brittany, were the talk of the town.
When it comes to talking about family bonds, the story of Patrick Mahomes and his family is known to be one of the most interesting ones. From the relentless support from his wife Brittany to the roller coaster journey of his brother Jackson Mahomes, the QB’s family is a unique blend of personalities. But could the docuseries help change the perspective that people have about Mahomes’ younger brother?

The story of Jackson Mahomes
Unlike his NFL brother, Jackson Mahomes has always found himself in troubled waters. The younger Mahomes is a social media star, with millions of followers on TikTok. And for the past few seasons, Jackson Mahomes has been subjected to widespread criticism over his sidelines antics. Recently, he found himself in legal trouble after allegedly sexually harassing the owner of a restaurant and assaulting her staff back in February.

An article by KMBC News gives an entire timeline of the incident. With his next hearing due in August, fans have not been too appreciative when it comes to talking about Jackson Mahomes. Starring in the Netflix docuseries alongside Mahomes’ wife, his screen time was limited, leaving fans divided over their perception of him.
Some fans saw him as a firm supporter of his elder brother in the NFL, while others still couldn’t bring themselves to like the younger brother of the 2X Super Bowl champion. Given the way Jackson’s life has been, it is not a surprise that fans are split in two when it comes to talking about him.
And it’s not just only Mahomes. Even his wife, Brittany, received widespread criticism for her appearance in Quarterback, even if it was just to cheer Patrick Mahomes on.
Brittany gets trolled by fans
Religious fans of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs know that Brittany is the QB’s no. 1 supporter through everything. The duo have been together since high school and have shared a long journey together. Brittany has also found herself being criticized for her hyper behavior on the sidelines during her husband’s NFL games in recent years. Not only this, but her appearance in the docuseries also led to a lot of trolling.

A clip from the show went viral on Twitter, where Brittany was seen cheering on her husband during one of his games. This led to fans criticizing her and her behavior, even if it was just supporting her NFL husband.
