The finale starts with an interview with the 2X MVP, talking about his ankle injury while facing the Jaguars in the divisional round. Mahomes mentally pushed through, knowing the recovery was just days away from the showdown. The intense rivalry between the two teams is showcased, including the Bengals’ last win at the Conference and a teammate calling Mahomes’ home stadium ‘Burrow Head Stadium’, to take a dig at their 3 consecutive losses. To add fuel to the fire, the Mayor of Cincinnati trolled the 2X MVP, joking about a paternity test to see if he was Joe Burrow‘s son.

Amidst powerful jabs from rivals, the Chiefs’ man revealed that he definitely heard about every troll, including the Mayor’s, which was really surprising for him. The finale then showcases how competitive the championship actually was, even the star QB adding, “Every time you go up against Joe Burrow, you know it’s gonna be a fight till the very end.” Then the finale showcases Mahomes getting injured twice in his already hurt area, trying to walk it off and run to the sidelines. He couldn’t even celebrate with his teammates, as he was whimpering in pain.

Mahomes wasn’t the only one who dominated the AFC championship, as Travis raised the bar with his winning performance. Recording 7 receptions and 78 receiving yards, the star TE also scored a breathtaking touchdown. After the team’s victory, Travis interrupted Mahomes’ post-game interview, playfully jabbing back at the Bengals, saying, “Burrowhead, my a**!” followed by “It’s Mahomes’ house!” The finale also shows Andy Reid giving a victory speech in the locker room as the athletes hype each other up for reaching the Super Bowl once again.
