After signing a monumental 10-year, $450,000,000 contract with the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2017 NFL draft, Mahomes wasted no time in establishing his empire. As a rising star in the NFL, the cannon-armed quarterback upgraded his living situation to match his newfound status. Approximately four years ago, following his contract, he fulfilled a personal wish for the two most important ladies in his life by spending $485,000.

His first penthouse after signing the check

Before his NFL career, Mahomes resided at his father’s house in Texas. However, once he was selected to play in the NFL, he fulfilled the wishes of his wife Brittany Mahomes, and mother Randi Mahomes by purchasing a penthouse in Kansas City. This purchase came soon after signing his contract with the Chiefs in 2017, and the price of the home was $485,000, which he paid using his first paycheck. The penthouse features two bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and a master suite with blackout window coverings, a spacious tub, and a walk-in closet.

The Belleview Plaza, where the penthouse is located, offers luxurious living and amenities, including a coveted rooftop deck. With only nine units in the building, it provides an exclusive living experience. Additionally, the location is advantageous, being near Arrowhead Stadium. However, despite these features, Mahomes decided to sell the penthouse in 2019 after making upgrades, aiming to secure a better price for the property.

In 2019, Patrick sold his penthouse unit at Bellevue Plaza in Kansas City, with the listing being represented by Sarah Brookfield of Re/Max Premier Realty, as per reports by Seattle Pi. Following the sale, Mahomes upgraded to a $1.95 million residence in the suburbs. Built-in 1953, the house features three bedrooms and a chef’s kitchen.

With a total area of 3,759 sq. ft, the house showcases an open floor plan, clean lines, and a connection to nature, characteristic of homes from that era. The architectural style has a retro charm while maintaining a contemporary feel. Additionally, the house includes a private gym for Patrick and his wife, Brittany, to exercise in. Notably, Patrick has set up a custom-designed room in his new Overland Park, KS home to display his sneaker collection, reflecting his passion for shoes and his endorsement with Adidas.
