After a scintillating season in 2022, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs head into the new season as the team to beat. With teams looking to figure out their plays and approaches for 2023, the NFL promo is pipping Mahomes to the sidelines potentially.

Starring alongside some of the heavy hitters of the NFL, the Chiefs QB is ready to get down to the gridiron. But the latest narrative suggests that the 2x SB winner is already bored of ‘acting like the winner’.

Patrick Mahomes – an actor before a QB?

Kansas City Chiefs and the 31 teams in the NFL are set to get back on the pitch on 7th September 2023. With the hype reaching ever so close to the boiling point for the 104th season of the NFL, fans are toiling with the idea of what the supposed script could be for the season ahead. While the promo plays with the joke that the script is going to be yet another smash, Mahomes and his ‘character’ have been pushed to the sidelines supposedly.

Mahomes doubles down on his stance of fair play among the league members which ultimately leads to his message to the team. He instigates, “Guys, not cool, who said that?” This prompts Keegan to point out his duties within the realms of the NFL as an actor to which Mahmes responds with one word, “Boring.” 

While the NFL stars prep for the upcoming season amidst the running joke of scripted seasons for the game. Patrick Mahomes may not be as relaxed as the likes of Chase and Metcalf given his defensive conundrum.

Mahomes left wondering if his defensive script will fall apart

Mahomes and his fellow NFL stars promote the upcoming NFL season for the fans and raise the hype to a higher level. He may be secretly wishing his team’s defensive script doesn’t fall apart come week 1. Amidst the standoff between the Chiefs and their DT, Chris Jones, Mahomes has been left stranded, questioning the defensive lineup for the next season.

Although the situation has yet to spiral into chaos, with every passing day the standoff continues, and the chaos creeps ever so closer. Jones and Mahomes’ collective efforts were crucial to some of the results the Chiefs built their season on. Should they fail to find a plausible middle ground, the task of retaining the SB will become a lot harder.

But that’s still a long way away, with at least 2 weeks on hand for the individuals involved to come to an agreement. In the meantime, Mahomes and Co will continue to promote the script for the season ahead and hopefully make it a better one than 2022.
