Rihanna, in all her ethereal glory, took center stage at the Super Bowl halftime show. Despite the theatrics and coordinated performance, the singer seems to have garnered some sour impressions. Her most prominent critic, however, is a rather polarizing figure.
Donald Trump may have a personal vendetta against one of the biggest musical artists in the world. RiRi is by far one of the most beloved and accomplished stars in the music industry. Days after taking shots at the nine-time Grammy winner, Trump unleashed another tirade against the singer. The former president, like always, did not hold back from expressing his feelings about the performance. While the halftime performance in itself is contested, Trump did not gain much popularity because of what he said.

The expectations set for the Super Bowl halftime show were sky high. This was supposed to be Rihanna’s enormous comeback performance after a hiatus from releasing new music. But unfortunately, the music sensation was unable to hit the mark. Performing some of her biggest hits, RiRi’s performance was a treat for the eyes and ears. But perhaps, fans were expecting a bigger spectacle. In the midst of it all, Donald Trump found the perfect opportunity to take another shot at Rihanna.
RiRi has been critical of Trump in the past. The singer’s vocalization caused clashes that aren’t isolated from the recent past. Her legal victory that ensured that the then-president would be prohibited from using her music at his rallies in 2018 made headlines. Fueled by their history, the former president claimed that the singer had no talent. And, after RiRi’s Super Bowl halftime show, Donald Trump did not hold back.
