The San Francisco 49ers endured a terrible crisis last season, which was visible in their matchup. All professional athletes, including Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo, were having difficulty because of the terrible injuries they sustained during previous competitions. From one great QB to another. 49ers’ star QB, Brock Purdy’s impeccable performance last season impressed legend Steve Young, who seemed not to be tired of applauding this young champ. While giving an interview with  Matt Maioccoo, Steve shared his thoughts on Purdy. “Quarterbacking is that way. When I see someone who has ‘the Force,’ I don’t know how to tell you all the intricacies of what makes that… Brock had it so thick,” he said.

On top of that, he regards Brock Purdy as the Star Wars character Luke Skywalker, who grows from a humble man to a legend.

“It’s like Luke Skywalker — right away, he had it….he has the Force, and maybe as strong as anybody who’s played. He’s not the fastest guy. he’s not the strongest arm. But he has the Force, and maybe as strong as anybody who’s played.”

With this statement, he predicted Purdy’s future and how his fightback spirit would make him the greatest. Purdy was suffering horrendous injuries, yet he chose to fight back in the last season. As the offseason comes to a close, he is highly motivated to give his best in training sessions. The question at hand is regarding the identity of the next franchise quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers.

Brock Purdy had his ligament surgery, and he is all set to ace his training session. After making a massive impact as a third-string quarterback, fans have high expectations for him. Purdy managed to score 1,374 touchdowns last year. During this season, he will be vying for the rookie quarterback position alongside Trey Lance.

Last year, Trey Lance couldn’t perform due to his injury, which led Purdy to play in his place. Now that both players are fit and able to compete, the question of the next-best quarterback comes into play. Well, the possibilities could be many. Let’s hope that may the force be with the 49ers.
