Kenny Vaccaro takes his game online. Vaccaro has been a free agent for a while now. He received many offers from the top teams in the NFL, but the Safety has decided to hang up his boots and grab a controller.
Vaccaro retires from football
Kenny Vaccaro was a 15 overall pick by the New Orleans Saints in the 2013 NFL draft. He played as a safety. Vaccaro spent eight years of his life in the NFL. During his tenure with the biggest football league in the world, the safety played for The Saints and the Tennessee Titans. All throughout his career, Vaccaro has made 610 tackles, 35 tackles for a loss, 10 interceptions, defended 44 passes, and made 11.5 sacks. He had a very well-decorated record, and he was a solid player.

Vaccaro says that he will miss his team, the daily interaction with other players in the locker room. He will also miss the bonds that he created on the field and in the game.

Vaccaro’s new teammates will be online as he has chosen to retire from football to launch an Esports organization. The organization is called G1. Kenny plans to manage G1 in a similar manner as he did in the NFL. G1 is based in Austin, Texas, and they’re already in the process of building a roster. As if right now this company has signed eight players in total.
Four Halo players and four Destiny players, along with one coach. The G1 will announce its full roster on the 8th of December.

It is not uncommon that many athletes are gamers in real life. Many WWE and AEW superstars have Twitch channels, and they stream regularly. Kenny Vaccaro identifies himself as a gamer before a footballer.
“I’ve been a gamer for even longer than I’ve played football, and I’ve always thought of myself as a gamer first,” said Vaccaro. “And while football has been how many have defined me, G1 is evidence for other athletes as well that life doesn’t end just because you put down the helmet. You can reinvent yourself.”

The inspiration for reinventing himself and launching G1 came to Kenny from being always known as a standout football player. Being a gamer first has made him take this leap. Let’s see if Kenny Vaccaro is as successful on the mouse and keyboard the way he was in the football fields.
