The era of the Mannings in the NFL was one to look back at. Both Eli Manning and Peyton Manning were dominant forces, as QB, giving NFL GOAT Tom Brady quite the competition during their careers in the NFL. The Manning brothers share four Super Bowl championships between each other and were one of the primary reasons why Brady could not go on to double digits in terms of Super Bowl wins.

And now, the next generational football talent of the Manning family in the form of Arch Manning is set to make his appearance in the NFL in the near future. And Peyton Manning’s former Indianapolis Colts teammate believes that his nephew will follow in their brother’s footsteps in college.

Before their NFL dominance, both Eli and Peyton Manning had stellar college careers. Eli Manning went on to record 10,119 passing yards and 81 touchdowns for the University of Mississippi for four seasons before joining the New York Giants. On the other hand, Peyton Manning attended the University of Tennessee, playing as the starting QB for four seasons and also being awarded the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award. And now, Peyton Manning’s former teammate Pat McAfee believes Arch Manning is set to have a stellar college career as well.

In a recent episode of the Pat McAfee Show, they discussed how long it will be before the Texas Longhorns decide to bring in Arch as their starting QB. They pulled up a photo of the 18-year-old from the gym, where he looks jacked and muscular. This led to McAfee and his people debating whether the nephew of the Manning brothers will give current Texas starter Quinn Ewers a fight for the QB1 spot.

Will the nephew of the Manning brothers be as great as them in the future?

Arch Manning had 2,270 passing yards, 34 touchdowns, and two interceptions in his senior year at Isidore Newman. Coming as a five-star no.1 overall ranked recruit for the class of 2023, the 18-year-old committed to playing for the Longhorns, and joined the program early to take part in their spring drills. After having their first practice of the year in March, Sarkisian stated that while Ewers is the favorite to start, he will also give Arch Manning his opportunity. “I’m more focused on is, is each guy focusing on what they need to do to develop to be the best player that they can be? Quinn has an entire year of a head start, but I don’t want to hold Arch back. I want to see how far he can take this thing and what it can look like”, is what the HC said according to USA Today.
