Aaron Rodgers is one of the elite players in the NFL. The reigning MVP has been one of the most spectacular performers in recent memory. And last year, he showed that he hasn’t been slowing down at all, despite his age.
Last season, Rodgers was able to lead the Packers quite well, and they finished with the best record in the league. But they couldn’t get past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Playoffs.
Former Green Bay Packers player and a teammate of Aaron Rodgers Jordy Nelson spoke recently to Pat McAfee. He noted that he didn’t understand the rationale behind the Packers not committing to Aaron Rodgers. He is still the reigning league MVP and has been playing at the highest level possible.

Nelson noted that the franchise should commit to showing him appreciation and trying to win with him over the next 2 years as much as possible.
“I don’t know what they’re doing. I can answer any of those questions. It’s mind-blowing sometimes, especially when he comes out and has an MVP year, and they don’t want to commit or do whatever they want to do.
“I mean, show appreciation, or whatever it is for him the next two years. Seems like it’d be a pretty easy and simple move that a 100% if not 99% of people would agree with. They can’t be worried about backlash or anything.”

These comments coming from Nelson are not surprising. Several analysts and fans have called out the Green Bay Packers for them not choosing to commit to Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is a stalwart of the franchise and has led the team to the Super Bowl glory in the past.
However, the team has not been surrounding him with the right players in recent years for him to be able to repeat that feat. Rodgers is clearly getting frustrated with the Packers.

Will Aaron Rodgers re-sign with the Green Bay Packers? At the moment, it appears as though we are entering the final stretch of the Rodgers saga in Wisconsin. However, things could change at the drop of a hat.
If Rodgers can replicate his previous season, and win the Packers a Super Bowl, it would make sense for both parties to sign a new deal.
