After a strong start to the season, the Kyler Murray-led Arizona Cardinals have lost some steam in the last couple of weeks. The former Heisman Trophy winner has suffered 2 back-to-back defeats in the league after Sunday’s narrow 20-17 loss to the New England Patriots.

Murray was in contention for the NFL MVP award in the build-up to Week 10. The former Oklahoma Sooners man has thrown for 2,800+ yards with 19 touchdowns against 9 interceptions in 2020.

The Cardinals are 3rd in the NFC West Division with a 6-5 record. Can they fight back to make the NFL Playoffs?

Here’s how the New England Patriots managed to silence Kyler Murray

Former Super Bowl winner and New England Patriots linebacker Willie McGinest appeared on the NFL Network show, Total Access, earlier today.

“There was Kingsbury-Kyler Murray versus Bill Belichick and there’s 3 levels to stopping an offense like this that we always talked about in the locker room and the defensive meetings you got to contain.

“You got to disrupt the pocket and get turnovers and you also got to affect the pocket, give pressure, and sack the quarterback…

“Let these two guys disrupt the pocket and get the pressure. Adam Butler does just that, splits the double team, gets to the quarterback.

“That is the ingredient and you have to do all 3 levels or else you’re gonna get hit with big plays and beaten in offense,” McGinest said on the show.
