The former QB of the Baltimore Ravens and former teammate of Ray Lewis will crack a deal as the head coach of UAB. The 50-year-old Trent Dilfer is a coach at Lipscomb Academy in Nashville. He was a terrific QB at Fresno State who then descended to achieve a career in the NFL.

The Super Bowl-winning QB played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Baltimore Ravens, the Seattle Seahawks, the Cleveland Browns, and the San Francisco 49ers.

Dilfer informed Lipscomb Academy about his new ventures. The UAB is busy organizing a team meeting on Wednesday to welcome him.

Dilfer was also an ESPN analyst. In 1994, Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted him as the No. 6 overall pick. In 2000, the Ravens signed him as the backup QB for Tony Banks. Eventually, Dilfer replaced Banks. Under him, the team won a Super Bowl title. However, the team did not re-sign him. He is the only QB who to let go after lifting the Lombardi trophy. In 2008, he announced his retirement.

Ray Lewis recalled the biggest mistake the Baltimore Ravens made

In 2018, the former Ravens linebacker went on television with Colin Cowherd to talk about one of the most discussed deals of the year. The analyst and the athlete talk about the Jacksonville Jaguars’ contract extension for Blake Bortles.
