Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray recently stated his disappointment at not making the Playoffs last season. Despite having a breakthrough 2020 campaign where he registered nearly 4,000 passing yards, the Cardinals failed to make the postseason by a whisker with an 8-8 record.
Not used to having not making the playoffs due to his illustrious college career, Murray is hopeful of leading the Cardinals to their first postseason appearance since 2015.
But even if he can guide the Cardinals back to the playoffs, can he ever win a Super Bowl. The topic was up for contention during a recent episode of First Take and former NFL player Domonique Foxworth feels the chances are slim.

Kyler Murray likely to retire without a Super Bowl ring
Former Denver Broncos cornerback Domonique Foxworth weighed in on the chances of Kyler Murray ever winning a Super Bowl ring. And in his books, the odds are stacked against the Cardinals QB.

“I mean, probably not. Like he’s a very good quarterback. I think a lot of people expected him to take a bigger leap into the elite class of quarterbacks. He still can. He’s not there yet,” said Foxworth.
While Foxworth believes Kyler Murray still has time to make the transition into an elite QB, he feels a lot of other circumstances could stop him from claiming a Super Bowl ring.
“The problem is, it’s so hard to win a Super Bowl. The Super Bowl and the playoffs are not like the NBA Playoffs, where it’s a series. It’s a one-game sample. Sometimes people get lucky and sometimes people and teams get unlucky,” he said.

While Foxworth feels Murray could go on to become a star in the years to come, a Super Bowl ring might not be something that he can showcase in his locker by the time he retires.
“So I think Kyler Murray can have a great career. There are several quarterbacks who are in the Hall of Fame, who haven’t won a Super Bowl.

“So it’s not a knock against Kyler Murray, it’s just really hard to get everything to work right at the same time in order to win a Super Bowl.”
Kyler Murray is only 23 and seems to get better by the year. Yet still, Foxworth believes the QB will have no Super Bowl rings to show for by the time he retires. Quite like Domonique Foxworth himself.
