From commuting 16 miles for school to becoming the HC
The former head coach had a strong bond with his brother, Bill Tobin, from the early days when they used to hustle together. The brothers used to make a daily 16-mile journey to school. However, their parents provided unwavering support, recognizing their athletic potential. Tobin excelled as a defensive back and later began his coaching career as a graduate assistant.
After nearly two decades of serving as a defensive coordinator in various colleges and even the Canadian Football League, Tobin was recruited as the defensive coordinator for the Bears in 1986. He went on to coach the Colts and the Lions in later years. The legendary coach concluded his career in 2004, leading the Packers.
