Recently, Doug Whaley appeared on Sirius XM NFL Radio, where he said, “This is one of those teams where the way it’s constructed is, ‘We’re all-in with Tom, and then when Tom leaves, we’re going to have to start from Square 1. Everybody likes to say, well, we’re going to reload. I think it’s going to be a teardown and let’s rebuild.”
Doug Whaley thinks Buccaneers are all about Tom Brady, and the team got stronger when Tom became a part of their roster. Bucs may look stronger this season, but when Tom leaves, they will be back to where they were before 2021.

Tom Brady made a difference after he was acquired in 2020, but Buccaneers GM Jason Licht had some role to play in it. Not only Tom Brady, but he also acquired former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, who after his retirement joined the Bucs.
He also signed veteran running back LeSean McCoy, who was a perfect fit to match Tom Brady. Other great choices by Jason Licht were players like Leonard Fournette and Antonio Brown. Both have proved beneficial for Tampa’s offense.
