Barring the loss against the Las Vegas Raiders, Andy Reid’s Kansas City Chiefs have completely dominated the league in 2020. They remain unbeaten in the last 10 games. Patrick Mahomes and Co. made their way to a 17-14 win over the Atlanta Falcons last weekend. They will look to improve upon that record when they take on Justin Herbert-led Los Angeles Chargers in Week 17.
But a certain former NFL player-turned-analyst has some words of advice for the Super Bowl LIV champions.

On the latest segment of Speak For Yourself, hosts Marcellus Wiley and Emmanuel Acho were talking about the reigning Super Bowl champions, Kansas City Chiefs. Wiley warned the Chiefs that they need to be at their very best if they want to avoid an upset in the playoffs.

“If you’re the Kansas City Chiefs right now, I would not be shocked if this team after the bye week was one and done in the playoffs…Are there some warning signs that the Chiefs potentially could find themselves in a bad situation and the losing effort in the playoffs? Last year we saw them struggle through the playoffs down 10, down 10, down 24 but prevail, because they were the hunter, but now that they’re a hunted, and they’re still playing with fire, how are you so confident that they will prevail in these same situations?” Wiley said on the show.
The likes of Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have been terrific over the last four months. The pair has been unstoppable all season and will be key for the Chiefs as they attempt to defend their Super Bowl title.

Kelce, in particular, grabbed headlines when he broke George Kittle’s record for the most receiving yards by a tight end. But as has been the theme of 2020, the Chiefs could be in for a surprise in the coming weeks. Watch this space for more.
