Desean Jackson, the former Philadelphia Eagles WR seems had issues with his quarterback Donovan McNabb in 2019. Even though they performed well together on the field, their lack of chemistry was visible.

Recently, Jackson appeared on the I AM ATHLETE podcast. When asked about his beef with McNabb,  Desean Jackson was honest with his answer.

Jackson said, “When the ballots came out, and they found out that I was the first player in NFL history to get elected to start in the Pro Bowl for two positions, my starting quarterback tells Michael Vick, ‘Damn, I don’t think he should’ve got that. He shouldn’t have deserved that.'”

He added, “Like, you’re telling another quarterback, that your receiver — that you throw to, your receiver — that he didn’t deserve that.” 

Desean Jackson had played eight seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles

Desean Jackson was a great player for the Philadelphia Eagles whenever he played for them. Throughout the course of his career, he spent eight seasons with the Eagles. Jackson played six seasons from 2008-to 2013 during his first stint with the franchise. He played another two seasons from 2018-to 2019 during his second stint.

Jackson had 379 catches for 6,512 yards and scored 42 touchdowns in 95 games for the Eagles in his career. Apart from the Eagles, he has also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Los Angeles Rams, Las Vegas Raiders, and the Washington Commanders.

In regards to his future in the NFL, the former Eagles’ wide receiver is undecided. During an interview with Sports Illustrated in April, he said, “I’m not really sure if I’m going to play in 2022 or not.” If he decides to retire, he’ll have nothing to regret. Jackson has had a glorious career.

He has made the Pro Bowl three times. Moreover, he became the first player in history to be selected for Pro Bowl for two different positions.  Playing in the National Football League for such a long period is not easy. Many players would love to have a career like Desean Jackson.
