Jimmy Garoppolo and his injured shoulder are causing problems. Previously a calf injury and now a shoulder injury keeps him out of the picture. However, the 49ers found a new star. They are willing to put effort into Trey Lance’s development. As a result, the QB looks to get traded to another team.
Tony Romo, the former Dallas Cowboys QB, feels his return has much to do with his shoulder. So even though Jimmy Garoppolo is on the 49ers’ roster for the 2022 season, the situation may change soon.

Earlier rumors surfaced that Garoppolo will join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and reunite with the GOAT, Tom Brady. But later, his agent denied them. In addition, his surprise shoulder surgery is not sitting well with the 49ers’ management. Therefore, Romo expresses his concern.
Further, the 4x Pro-Bowler Romo feels that the management can get the optimum value by waiting for the QB’s shoulder to get healed.

Speaking on the Zach Gelb Show, Tony Romo made a few interesting remarks. He said, “The biggest thing is, he’s got to get healthy [with his shoulder]. But when he gets healthy, you’ll see teams coming in.”
He added, “If they view him as a really talented guy but think Trey’s a bit more talented, they probably won’t do that and trade him within the division. But if they view him not at that level, then that would be different.”
It’s not so far away to see what will happen with Garoppolo, his shoulder, and his trade deal. While the QB would look for a concrete opportunity to play as a starter, his shoulder might come in the way.
