Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver, Antonio Brown, might put on his coaching cap soon, to lead a football team. The 7-time Pro Bowler seems to be ready to impart his expertise to the next generation of football players. Notably, the 2020 Super Bowl champion looks all set to explore a new avenue of opportunity in football as he remains a free agent on the market.
While coaching in the NFL might be his pipedream, he will be getting a taste of that experience in the Fan Controlled Football League. Brown was recently confirmed by FCF team Zappers’ owner, Bob Menery, to be joining them in a coaching position. It is the addition of one of the most talented WRs in the NFL to one of the most exciting concepts of football in modern times.

The league aims at bringing back the fun for the football fans while reducing penalties to maximize excitement.
The new league format, which began in 2017, does employ a 7-on-7 format in an Atlanta indoor facility. All the FCFL games are going to resume on April 16th. It seems to incorporate fan engagement as a blend of traditional and Esports environments and will be broadcasting primarily on Twitch.

The league’s growth in recent years might be all the evidence Brown needs to join them. It also recently secured a $40 million Series A raise in January to play for the next two seasons. The influx of funds has also led to expansion in competition from four to eight teams in the upcoming season.
The FCFL has a history of signing former NFL players while acting as a fresh start for its players. It might also be the launching pad for Brown to relaunch his NFL career.

Johnny Manziel and Josh Gordon are two players who were able to maximize their opportunities with the FCFL. Gordon will also be making a comeback to the NFL with the Chiefs. The attention and relevancy that Brown will bring to the league could be beneficial to all the parties involved.
