Matt Nagy’s merry union with Andy Reid
The relationship between Matt Nagy and Andy Reid goes back in time. They have worked closely for a long time in the NFL. He contributed 10 seasons under the Chiefs’ HC during his tenure at the Philadelphia Eagles, where he established his career as a coaching intern.
Reid then took Nagy and assigned him as the QB coach when he signed a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012.. He also touched down on a promotion to the OC in 2016, succeeding current Jaguars Head Coach Doug Pederson. The former Bears’ HC is now associating with an old employer and they march onwards in the upcoming season.

In the year 2018, Matt Nagy left the Chiefs to join the Chicago Bears as the head coach. He clinched the regular season record of 34-31 and was the 2018 coach of the year by the NFL for capping a 12-4 record and a division title. They also made it to the wild card rounds under Nagy’s mentorship but failed to go further. The Bears sacked him from the position after four seasons because of the 6-11 record in their 2021 run.

This is an enormous advantage for the franchise’s offense lines. The current staff comprises Bieniemy, Nagy, and HC Reid, forming an extraordinary coaching alliance for the offensive front to transcend into the next season. Matt will again act alongside Patrick Mahomes, and both entities have had immense support and worked excellently with each other since Mahomes got drafted in 2017.
