Cowboys owner and billionaire, Jerry Jones, has been grabbing plenty of headlines recently regarding one of his old photos going viral. Notably, this picture landed him in a big controversy, as he could be seen standing with a bunch of students trying to stop 6 African American students from entering the North Little Rock High School. Although he was 14 or 15 years old at that time, he still received plenty of backlash for it.

Earlier, renowned sports journalist Stephen A. Smith showed support for Jones. Now, former Cowboys cornerback Pacman Jones also backed the Cowboys’ owner regarding his desegregation picture going viral.

Pacman Jones shows support for Jerry Jones regarding his controversial photo going viral

In a recent episode of Hot 107.9’s podcast, Pacman Jones got really passionate talking about Jerry Jones. When asked about the controversial photo, Pacman said, Man, I don’t give a damn on what he did in 1957?! Like can you even count back that far? Jerry Jones, I love you, F**k them. I don’t give a f**k what they say. I’m a Cowboy, I got Jerry tatted on my body. I’m forever Jerry Jones. I’m part of the family, I don’t know what they are talking about.”

The former cornerback further praised Jones for contributing a great deal to the African American community. I’ve seen Jerry Jones do most sh** for black athletes than anybody in the world, Pacman further said.

Notably, Pacman played for the Cowboys in the 2008 season; however, Jerry had to let him go, not because of his performances, but for his off-field lifestyle. After getting released by the Cowboys, he found a new home with the Bengals, as he played for around 7 seasons with them.

Stephen A. Smith felt disappointed with the whole Jones controversy

During the First Take show, Stephen A. Smith expressed his opinion about the Jones matter. According to him, he felt really bad for Jones because he was only 14-15 years old and did not probably know anything about it. However, he could have had a different opinion if Jones was an adult in that situation.

Recently, NBA superstar LeBron James also made some comments about Jones’ controversy. However, he had a different take on the controversy, as he blamed the media for handling the Jones’ controversy differently.

Earlier, Jones also talked about the photo and he claimed to have no knowledge about the desegregation protest. Despite all the controversies, the NFL did not act on it, as Jones continues to focus on his team, the Cowboys, who are currently looking to secure a playoff spot.
