Former Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman might be on his way off the field. The athlete is one of the most entertaining personalities to watch on the field and during the interviews. Because of his electrifying persona, he has been offered a new job.

Sherman is in deep talks with Amazon for a broadcasting role. They have offered him a key role in Prime Video’s NFL programming for the upcoming season. This would mean the end of the defensive star’s on-field career. But if he takes on the broadcasting role, fans are sure to tune in.

Richard Sherman in the NFL

Richard Sherman began his professional football career in 2011. The Seattle Seahawks picked him in the fifth round of that year’s draft. Sherman quickly became one of the best cornerbacks in the Seahawks’ defensive lineup. He was a key part of Seattle’s “Legion of Boom” defense. Due to this impenetrable defense, the franchise won Super Bowl XLVIII.

A five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro Sherman had an impressive career. He recorded 37 interceptions, and 116 passes defended. Along with that, he also forced five fumbles, seven fumble recoveries, and 495 total tackles. The athlete is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s All-Decade Team for 2010.

Sherman spent most of his career with the Seahawks, but he joined the Niners for a couple of seasons in 2018. The CB played for the Buccaneers last year. He only appeared in five games. His last season was cut short by injuries. Maybe stepping away from the football field for a while might be a good call for him.
