Randi Mahomes recently shared a video on her Instagram story that near-about summed up her mantra on life. And it’s not just addressing Patrick’s issues, but also that of her younger son, Jackson Mahomes, who has been in trouble up to his eyeballs in the past few weeks.

Patrick Mahomes gets some motherly advice on fundamental subjects

After Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson earned the NFL’s highest-paid athlete tags in the past month, it was time to consider giving Patrick Mahomes a pay hike given his heroics the past season. However, the $503 million 10-year contract stayed intact. Instead, the Chiefs passer took a restructured pay cut this year to clear $9.6 million off his team’s available cap room to get the necessary ammunition for another world championship. One can say, with two Super Bowls in four years, 27-year-old Pat Mahomes is making full use of his time and youth. And that is exactly what his mother, Randi Mahomes, preached on Instagram.

“You can always make more money, but you can’t make more time. Time gone by is gone forever,” she quoted in a story on IG. This has been true in the past as well. And not just for the Kansas City Chiefs signal-caller.

Regardless, Randi Mahomes’ motherly instincts kicked in this week. Despite the controversies, she left an endearing message for Jackson on his birthday. “Happy Birthday son. I love you,” she posted on Instagram.

Going through one of the hardest phases of her life after losing her mother, Debbie Martin, Randi Mahomes will certainly have better times ahead. Things will certainly look more upbeat once the NFL regular season kicks in from September and Pat Mahomes can fix everyone’s mood with his electric on-field display.
