Derek Carr made his first public appearance since the unfortunate benching and the potential end of his time with the Las Vegas Raiders. According to the comment section of the video posted by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, fans miss Carr a lot. And Raider Nation showed their love.

The Raiders have made their feelings clear about moving on without Carr next season. And after nine years of loyal service to the silver and black army, he was in the Saturday service at the Church LV in Henderson as the featured guest speaker. Fans loved to see their quarterback back to his form and confidence.

Carr’s spirit is strong despite ending his ties with the franchise he so loved. “I’m a little fired up these past couple of weeks. I’ve gone through some stuff a little bit, right? And I found out that nothing can get me down. For the Spirit of God breaks it free, and says, we don’t need to worry about it,” Carr said to thunderous applause from the crowd.

The love was unanimous. “My quarterback, no matter what,” one fan commented.

Nine years. One place. It’s been hard. I always make this joke. I said franchises are heavy. Franchises are heavy to carry. They’re heavy,” Carr added in the Saturday sermon before sending some thanks upstairs.

No matter what happened with the franchise, Derek will have the fan’s wishes. “DC4 is a Raider for life, the best QB and leader we could have asked for during a time when the franchise was a broken mess. Thank you for everything and we’ll be rooting for you wherever you go,” one fan commented on the video.

Derek’s next destination in the NFL could be New York

After Jarrett Stidham replaced Carr for the remaining game of the season, Derek was even asked to leave the training camp to avoid being a distraction any further. And with this strict measure from Josh McDaniels in place, there seems to be no way he comes back to Nevada.

The New York Jets are looking for an upgrade to Zach Wilson and Carr could fit in quite well in exchange for a draft pick and middle-round selection. Zach’s brother has already clarified that there is no retirement on the horizon.

However, Raider Nation still wished he were back. “I’ve been a Raider fan for life, but I’ve become a Carr fan for life. I hope the best for him no matter where he ends up – whether it’s football or life, I just like him as a man,” one fan commented.
