Deion Sanders is one of the all-time greats in the history of American sports. The MLB All-Star was able to achieve legendary status in both the NFL and MLB. It’s safe to say that his fans find his legacy to be as inspirational as it gets. Furthermore, he is highly distinguished in NFL history and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
Recently, in his coaching debut, Deion Sanders won his first game as the University of Colorado head coach. The win caused a massive upset to the TCU Horned Frogs by a score of 45-42. During the post-match interview, Sanders got into a heated argument with one of the interviewers and called him out for his recent negative opinions. The incident was one of the most bizarre post-match moments that the fans have ever witnessed.

Sanders seemed extremely passionate and confident about his team’s performance throughout the session. He was taking all the questions of the press media patiently and elaborating on his answers. The 56-year-old was debuting as a coach after playing in the NFL for over 14 glorious seasons. The fans were really excited to see his new venture into the sport. After the massive unexpected win, the interviewers had a bunch of questions for Sanders to answer.
Yet, during the press conference, he went off on ESPN reporter Ed Werder by repetitively asking him, “Do you believe now?”
The entire room seemed to be taken aback as the two-time Super Bowl winner kept pushing him for an answer.
Ed Werder in a recent article, wrote that Deion Sanders isn’t anything but a celebrity coach. Unfortunately for Werder, Sanders had an excellent recollection of the piece and called him out publicly during the conference.
“Do you believe now? I read through that bull-junk you wrote,” Sanders said. “Do you believe?”
He kept repeating this question until later he moved on and refused to confront the situation again.
How did Sanders’ team perform against TCU?

Even though he is a rookie in the coaching industry, there is no doubt that Sanders was one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. The world of the NFL has been doubting his capabilities as a head coach but the MLB All-Star proved himself with the Colorados. He made his debutwith a team that featured 86 new players, including sons Shedeur and Shilo Sanders.
Sanders’ team managed to upstage TCU with a close victory, despite being the underdogs. According to TCU coach Sonny Dykes, the Colorado team seemed better prepared. He praised their performance more than his own team and claimed that the TCU players played poorly.
“It was terrible,” Dykes said. “I thought it was a really bad defensive performance.”
