The 20-year-old cornerback for the Colorado Buffaloes, Travis Hunter was recently injured. The player has proved to be an amazing asset for his team as well as for the head coach Deion Sanders but he’s now taken to a hospital due to his injury. The injury happened during the first quarter of the Colorado vs. Colorado State match. Sanders became the head coach for the team just a few years back and isn’t happy about the situation.

The player was thrown a pass from his team’s quarterback Shedeur Sanders, which he caught and ran to the left as a wide receiver. But soon, he was tackled brutally by the opposing team’s safety, Henry Blackburn.

After playing as a cornerback and a wide receiver in the first half, the player did not return to the field in the second quarter of the game. After he took a hit, he lay down for a while and then got up. The quarterback Sanders came to check on his safety. The head coach said that he had been taken to a nearby hospital and that his injury might be more serious than it looked to be.

According to one fan, they should fire the referee and suspend Blackburn.

Another fan added that the hit was uncalled for and the player shouldn’t have been allowed to play further in the game.

The fan’s reaction seems one-sided as another fan said that he hopes for Hunter’s safety and it was unbelievable for him to see Blackburn playing further in the game.

Southernrockhopper added that the guy should’ve been suspended as he played a very cheap shot and the referee didn’t do anything about it.

Another fan chimed in jokingly to say that Blackburn will be a wanted man in Colorado.

Killamatte said that if a CSU player was sent to a hospital, no one would care about it. Even LeBron James commented on the situation.

LeBron James also weighed in

The basketball player King James also shared his opinion about the injury incident. James tweeted on his X account, “Like I don’t understand the difference between targeting and what I just witnessed. I’ve seen others get thrown out for far less. That was blatant and uncalled for IMO!”

James was clearly not happy with the player not being punished for his actions. As the player was sidelined for the rest of the game, Sanders managed to finish with a touchdown and the Buffaloes resulted in a tie at the end of the game.
