In the aftermath of the Miami Dolphins 5-game slide, head coach Mike McDaniel has been put on the chopping block. Recent reports suggest that the first-time head coach has been under scrutiny from the Dolphins management, who may fire him at the end of the season. But fans have been quick to point out the ‘egregious idiocy’ of the move.

Mike McDaniel and his offensive genius have been key to unlocking the Dolphins offense. Many fans have pointed out that McDaniel is a key piece to this Dolphin’s team moving forward. These reports come after the Dolphins 5 game losing streak, which may cause them to miss the playoffs.
But these rumours have set the NFL world on fire, with fans criticising the team’s management on Twitter. Many fans have even suggested that the Dolphins might hire Sean Payton, Head Coach of the New Orleans Saints, in a bid to lure Tom Brady or Vic Fangio.
Given reports, rumors of Sean Payton possibly returning to NOLA (very unlikely IMO) here’s CRAZY idea
IF Dolphins 🐬 miss playoffs, would Miami owner Stephen Ross go after Payton…again?

I will lose all faith in this franchise if we fire Mike McDaniel. https://t.co/BfCBU5I01P

If the Dolphins fire Mike McDaniel, Stephen Ross officially becomes the second worst owner in the NFL, and the only reason he wouldn't be the worst is because Dan Snyder is still owner of the Commanders. https://t.co/RcXhDRND2P

If the Dolphins fire Mike McDaniel, they’d be making a tragic mistake. This is a coach who’s completely revitalized their young quarterback and remade their offense.

What’s next for McDaniel and the Dolphins?
After a dream first half of the season, which saw the Dolphins at 8-3, the recent 5 game losing streak has been a letdown for the fans and management. Mike McDaniel played a key role in unlocking the teams offense this season. Along with rising star QB Tua Tagovailoa and superstar WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, McDaniel transformed the Dolphins into an offensive juggernaut. But after consecutive concussions and injuries to Tagovailoa, the Dolphins season was derailed.
The Dolphins look to keep their playoff hopes alive entering the final half of the season. They play the New York Jets in their final game of the regular season. A win gives them a chance to clinch the wild card spot in the AFC East. But with Tagovailoa out and rookie QB Skylar Thompson at the helm, it’s not going to be an easy task for McDaniel’s team.
