He was then interviewed after the match by sideline reporter Erin Andrews.

During the interview, Andrews asked Garoppolo how he felt about going 8-0 in the season. Without hesitation, the QB gave the answer in such a way that it garnered a lot of attention. In what seemed to be a flirtatious attempt on Andrews, the QB said, “Feels great baby”. It looked like Jimmy Garoppolo was trying his luck with Andrews. But the reported was already married to former NHL star Jarret Stoll since 2017.

In 2021, the veteran reporter appeared on the ‘Endless Hustle’ podcast. During the podcast, she recalled the viral moment she had with Jimmy Garoppolo. She talked about how her husband was present behind the camera when the interaction happened. Andrews talked about how she was sure that the QB was not hitting on her while bringing other players into the mix. She said, “No, it’s just an impression of life ‘baby’ or ‘babe’. You watch all those mic ’d-ups with Brady. He says babe all the time. One of my favorite things when Edelman or Gronk does the TB, ’Hey, babe.’ And I think that’s a lot where Jimmy G. got it from.”
