In recent years, the quarterback has come up as the most lucrative position for an NFL player. It was just last week, when Derek Carr and the New Orleans Saints agreed to a four-year, $150 million deal. Similarly, Daniel Jones and the New York Giants agreed to a four-year, $160 million deal. There is no doubt that being at the center has its own perks, and a Cowboys star can not agree more on this as he caught the eyes of fans with his cryptic message, hinting towards a role change.

Both of these contracts have over $90 million in guarantees and looks like the Dallas Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parsons got the memo as well. In what appeared to be a tongue-in-cheek kind of response, Parsons expressed his desire to switch from linebacker to quarterback. The fans however ended up reading the situation wrong and took it as their chance to throw shade at Parsons’s teammate Dak Prescott.

Several fans decided to take the tweet at face value and started blasting the Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. One fan responded to Micah Parsons’ tweet with, “Better than Dak immediately“.

While another NFL fan went on to completely ignore Dak Prescott’s involvement with the Cowboys, “Finally. We’ll have a QB. Haven’t seen one since Troy Aikman played.

The Dak Prescott hate train wasn’t quick to stop as another user chimed in.

One particular user felt that Parsons definitely had the edge over Dak Prescott, “You’d probably beat out Prescott for the starting job.

Multiple shots were fired at Dak Prescott and that too without the man being at fault here. One cryptic tweet from Micah Parsons was enough to unleash the fury of these aggravated Cowboys fans, and it certainly wasn’t pretty.

Jones trusts Dak

Despite not having the fans on his side, Prescott enjoys the full confidence of his owner and general manager Jerry Jones. Earlier, during an interaction, Jones went on to share his views on Prescott, “I think just as Brady became, in my mind, better and better and more impactful on how they won as he got into his career, I think Dak really has those qualities, I think he can get better.
