He recently posted a heartwarming message on Instagram, to his ‘favorite’ son. His son, who plays as safety on the gridiron, has made his father proud not only on the football field but also in his off-field pursuits. His emotional words on social media are evidence of the beautiful bond that he shares with his son.
As per the USA Today report, Deion Sanders’ three sons are set to play key roles for Colorado football this year, with the eldest, Deion Sanders Jr., building an audience for the team through social media. Sanders has five children with two wives, including Deiondra and Deion Jr. from his first marriage and Shilo, Shedeur, and Shelomi from his second. But, it seems he has his “favorite” one.

Coach Prime took to Instagram to express his love and pride for his son, Shilo Sanders, on his recent graduation. On this occasion, Coach Prime posted a video of his son dancing with drums, causing people to cheer for him as he was called on stage to receive his degree. To that, Deion wrote a heartfelt message saying, “So proud of my favorite son for graduating today! The best is yet to come son. I’m so so so Proud of you! Now u know what time it is.”

As per Jackson State University, the 23-year-old Shilo Sanders has had a successful career so far. In Fall 2021, he was a Second-Team All-SWAC selection, with four interceptions and 39 tackles. He also played for South Carolina in 2019-20 and was named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
In high school, Shilo helped Trinity Christian win a state championship, was an Under Armour All-American, and played multiple positions.
However, Coach Prime, on the other hand, has been criticized multiple times for his remarks on HBCUs. A former SI reporter also recently slammed Sanders.

A former Sports Illustrated reporter, Jeff Pearlman, was not happy with Deion Sanders because he criticized Sanders for complaining about the lack of representation for Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the NFL Draft. He accused Sanders of taking all the best players from the Jackson State football program and leaving the team with nothing. Sanders also blocked Pearlman on social media for criticizing him.
Deion Sanders took to Twitter to express his disappointment with the lack of representation for HBCUs in the 2023 NFL Draft. He congratulated Isaiah Bolden, a talented cornerback, and returner from Jackson State, for being drafted in the seventh round by New England Patriots.
