Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star tight end, has made headlines for his dramatic facial transformation. Kelce, who was known for his fashionable trimmed beard, decided to shave it all off and sport a new look in training camp. The 33-year-old who is entering his eleventh season with the Chiefs, has been one of the most productive and consistent tight ends in the league.
He has recorded seven straight seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards and has been named to eight Pro Bowls and four All-Pro teams. The TE is also a leader and a fan favorite in the locker room and on the field. Still, Kelce’s latest look may have failed to settle into some fans’ hearts, but his performance on the field will surely win them over again.

A fan feels a bit bothered by Kelce’s resemblance to the character from ‘Me, Myself & Irene’ movie: “Travis you are upsetting me and my homegirls with this me myself and Irene look‼️”
Some say, he looks like a highway patrol officer with that mustache: “You look like a highway patrol with that stash LOL”

Yet, Kelce took the Twitter reactions in good spirits, previously. He even humorously captions: “#NewProfilePic” with a picture of himself with a sketched beard, a Photoshop trick. Fortunately, there’s ample time for him to revive his iconic beard before the Chiefs commence their season against the Cleveland Browns on September 12.

More than just Kelce’s beard
But Kelce’s beard is not the only thing that has been making waves in the Chiefs’ camp. The team has been busy preparing for the upcoming season, which promises to be another exciting one for the reigning AFC champions. The Chiefs have dominated their preseason games, racking up 504 yards of offense in a 38-10 blowout of the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday night. All four Chiefs quarterbacks led touchdown drives, with Patrick Mahomes completing 10-of-15 passes for 105 yards and a touchdown. “It was a good effort all the way around” – Head Coach Andy Reid.

The Chiefs have one more preseason game left against the Cleveland Browns on August 26, before they face the Detroit Lions in the regular season opener on September 7. The Chiefs are looking to make their third consecutive Super Bowl appearance, after falling short to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in February. With a talented roster led by Mahomes and Kelce, the Chiefs are one of the favorites to win it all this year. But they will also face some tough competition from other contenders, such as the Buffalo Bills, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Los Angeles Chargers.
