The Los Angeles Chargers took on the Indianapolis Colts in week 16 of Monday Night Football. And more than the game, a hit to a Chargers player made waves. The Chargers safety Derwin James took out a Colts WR and sent him to the medical tent. And the incident has left the fans shell-shocked.

James was ejected from the game after a brutal hit on Ashton Dulin which sent the WR into concussion protocol.

Derwin James was ejected from the game after he hit the Colts wide receiver, Ashton Dulin. As Dulin tried to turn after receiving the ball on a second down in the second quarter, James charged into him. The safety ended up hitting Dulin on his helmet, sending him down instantly. According to NFL Insider Ari Meirov, the Colts took the WR to the medical tent and put him into the concussion protocol.

The NFL world was shell-shocked after watching the hit. The hit was bad for most fans. But some questioned the ejection call on James. This fan thinks that the league has gone soft.

With the win over Jeff Saturday’s men, Justin Herbert and Co. punched their ticket to the playoffs. LA’s defense just didn’t let the Colts’ offense into the end zone. The hosts only managed a field goal in the entire game, coming in the second quarter just after the Derwin James hit. The Colts QB Nick Foles threw three interceptions in the game.

Herbert capitalized on his stubborn defense and took the team down the field. He threw 235 passing yards in the game. But it was the ground game that got the Chargers to the end zone. Running back Austin Ekeler scored two rushing touchdowns as the Chargers won 20-3.
